HUNMANBY 1   2/Lt. D.L. Sudlow attached to the Bn from 2 M.T.B. goes to H Coy.
WOLDS Trg Area 4 – 5   The Bn took part complete in the Bde Ex. Bridlington II designed to practice an Armd Bde in passing through a gap, and also in harbouring.
HUNMANBY 12   Lieut. Colonel V.B. Turner, V.C., visited the Bn and repeated his lecture on the part played by 2 R B at EL ALAMEIN.
17   Lt. B. Oxley-Boyle and D.A.O. Davies were attached to the Bn from 2 M.T.B. and went to 'G' and 'H' Coys respectively.
20   Lt. J.J. Straker appointed Capt. and 2 i/c 'H' Coy. Lt. P.S. Hodge appointed Sig Offr in his place.
22   Lt. J.R. Priestly went into hospital for a Major operation.
LONDON 25 – 30   The 3 Motor Coys went down to LONDON on a Street Fighting Couse in the Limehouse Area. The Bn took over the area and provided its own instructors, with Sapper specialists on hand. During the course of the Fighting, Lieut. H.R.O. Hubble was seriously wounded in the chest and taken to hospital; Lieut. J.P. Sedgwick was also taken to hospital being less seriously wounded by a Sten Gun round in the nose.
HUNMANBY 28   A detailed report was submitted to higher authority on the T.16 Carrier of which we had had 25 for trial purpose.
31   There are now in the Bn about 30 men who have the Africa Star for service with the 8th Army.
31   Important deficiencies in equipment at the end of the month: 20 mm guns – 6.
