SECO 3   Capt Dod, School Mil.Int. Matlock, lectured all officers of the Bde on Photographic Interpretation. At LIMEHOUSE LONDON, casuals from Bns which included recent drafts, atttended street fighting course.
SECO 6   3” Mortar Pls of Bns and 4.2” Mortar Pl of MG Coy visited South Downs for two day field firing exercise.
MOOR LODGE 9   Capt D. Fox Staff Captain was sent to Fever Hospital with Scarlet Fever. This neccessitated Lt. H. Lloyd who was L.O.2. taking on S.C. duties under probation and Lt. Jackson of 4 KSLI joining the H.Q. as L.O.
SECO 12   Exercise Beverly V11, a Wireless Security exercise took place in unit lines from 1000 hrs to 1500 hrs.
SECO 12-14   1 Lothian and Border Regt gave demonstration to Bns of co-operation between infantry and “Flail” tanks.
SECO 16-18   Unit A/tk Pls moved to LYDD and fired on Atk ranges.
SECO 24   1 Pl of the Airborne Div, gave a demonstration of their equipment and dress to Units of the Bde for recognition purposes.
SECO 23-25   A three day Wireless Security exercise in unit locations “Exercise Beverley V111”
SECO 25   A party of 300 went to WORTH near THREE BRIDGES to hear General Eisenhower, The Allied Supreme Commander talk, and be inspected by him.
SECO 26   The Bde Comd lectured the whole Bde at the Ritz Cinema ALDERSHOT, the subject being a “Pre battle pep talk”.
SECO 28   The Bde had completed waterproofing of all vehicles and loaded up to full scale. The Bde was at 6 hrs notice and confined to The ALDERSHOT district.
