BOSCHKANT 6   Bn remains in this location until 6 Oct 44 when it returns for the second time to the BOSCHKANT area.
MALDEN 10   Bn moves to MALDEN area. A counter attack role in conjunction with 1 W.G. in the GROESBEEK area is assigned to the Bn.
13   The Corps Commander 30 Corps lectures the W.G. Battle Group at GRAVE on the operation since HECHTEL.
14   Lieut. P.M. Syrett joins Bn as Tech Adjt. Capt. C. Shepley-Cuthbert proceeds to 268 Fwd Del Sqn.
20-23   Commanding Officer holds personal kit and veh inspections throughout Bn.
20   2-in-C (Major R.B. Hodgkinson) is evacuated to 10 C.C.S. with Glandular Fever. Major W.L. Consett assumed position of 2-in-C. Major F.E.G.W. Parish is promoted Major for the second time and assumes command of 3 Sqn.
23   Major M.W.T. Leatham is evacuated to 10 C.C.S. not having fully recovered from his wounds
25   Two Belgian Maquis lecture the Bn.
27   Bn Drill Parade is held at NIJMEGEN Stadium. This was originally laid on for the Major-General Commanding Brigade of Guards, but he did not in fact visit the Bn.
28   Major-General Commanding Brigade of Guards visited Bn at 1700 hrs.
31   General: In general, the month was spent in checking personal kits, recreational training, and drill.
