Dit monument is opgericht door de ouders van de vijf mannen van North Grimson die zijn omgekomen in de Eerste Wereldoorlog.

They sleep with England's heroes in the watchful care of God.

They died the noblest death a man may die,
Fighting for God, and right, and Liberty.

Ever ours in memory, thought and love

Sublime, transcendant love, to give.
Their bright young lives, that we mighty live.
And yet, we fain had put aside the cross.
So human is our strength and great, our loss.
