Vice-admiraal Sir Samuel Hood, 27 november 1762 - 24 december 1814
Diende bij de Royal Navy tussen 1776 en 1814. Voerde het bevel over HMS Juno, HMS Aigle, HMS Zealous, HMS Venerable, East Indies Station en Benedenwindse Eilanden Station.
Gevochten bij de Eerste Slag om Ouessant (1778), Slag om de Saintes (1782) en Slag om de Nijl (1798).
