7   Lieut General Sir Arthur Smith, K.B.E., C.B., D.S.O., M.C., Commanding the Brigade of Guards, Major General A.H.S. Adair, D.S.O., M.C., G.O.C. Gds Armd Div, Brigadier N.W. Gwatkin M.V.O., Comd 5 Gds Armd Bde, Col. W.D.C. Greenacre M.V.O., 2 i/c 5 Gds Armd Bde and other members of the Staff of HQ Brigade of Guards and of London District spent the night with the Bde.
8 1500 Conference on reinforcements for the Armd Bdes formed by the Brigade of Guards.
8   Captain J.V. Rob attended a two-day study period at 8 Corps.
9   The Bde proceeded to HQ 8 Corps to hear an address by General Sir Bernard L. Montgomery K.C.B., D.S.O., Commander-in-Chief 21 Army Gp.
10   The Bde Comd, Bde Major, Major R.C. Whigham and Captain The Earl of Chichester went to Midhope Range to fire with Bde HQ Sqn.
10   Bde HQ Sqn under Major W.M.M. Milligan proceeded to Midhope Range until Sat 12 Feb 44 to shoot.
11 1100 Major-General Roberts D.S.O., M.C., Comd 11 Armd Div gave a Lecture to all Offrs of the Bde on the employment of armour in The Tunisian Campaign.
12   The Bde Comd proceeded to Pirbright for a conference and then on Privilige Leave.
14   Captain C.C.H. Fry R.A.O.C. joined this HQ as Bde Ord Offr (see War Establishment for Tk Bde HQ promulgated to date from 30 Nov 1943).
19   Captain J.V. Rob the l.O. leaves this HQ and is posted to Trg Bn Scots Guards.
19   The Bde Comd returned to this HQ from Leave.
20   The Bde Comd and Bde Major go out to Ex "Eagle".
21   As a result of a road accident Captain The Earl of Chichester, Scots Guards, G.S.O. III of this Bde was killed. Captain C.C.C. Bridge the Staff Captain and the driver were injured.
22   The Bde Comd and Bde Major return to this HQ from Ex "Eagle".
24   The Major-General Commanding Brigade of Guards arrives with Bde Major.
24   Inspects 4 Tk Coldm Gds, Bde HQ Sqn and 3 Tk S.G.
25   The Major-General inspects 4 Tk Gren Gds and the C.R.S.
25   The Major-General leaves this HQ.
25   4 Tk Coldm Gds arrive Warcop Range for firing.
29   The Senior L.O., Captain A.E.W. Williams, Coldm Gds, takes over the duties of Staff Captain in place of Captain C.C.C. Bridge, Coldm Gds, who is posted to 4 Tk Coldm Gds.
29   Captain J. Clarke, Royal Corps of Signals, is appointed Major commanding Bde Sig Sqn in place of Major P. Banbury.
29   3 Tk S.G. arrive Warcop Range for firing. 4 Tk Coldm Gds depart.
